Is your refrigeration plant costing you money?

An incorrectly engineered plant will cause product deteriation at a greater rate than necessary costing money and loss of quality lowering the potential profit to your organisation, A poorly engineered plant will consume more energy than it needs, this is a major concern from an operational cost (ongoing) as well as the impending carbon tax situation where the cost of power will multiply substantially magnifying the problem. An incorrectly or poorly engineered plant designed on “Lowest initial cost” will immediately be the dearest plant to operate and maintain, which is the better?

A properly engineered and installed plant will be the following:

1. Cheaper to operate with lower power consumption.
2. Will be cheaper to maintain over time.
3. Will maintain product at the correct temperature and humidity maintaining the quality AND shelf life of the product.
4. Will operate over a longer period (assuming correct maintenance is carried out) and typically have a commercial life of years longer than a poorly engineered plant.
